Writings
These are plays, stories and sketches, fiction and non. Many were inspired by simply hanging around for over seventy years, some by my readings. Some are blatantly political--a liberal satirist's reaction to the times we are enduring. Though in writing them I did try to create 'literature,' calling them 'literary' sticks uncomfortably in my critical craw. Whether they make you laugh or soberly reflect, my goal was to give complacency a nudge in the left direction.
Rantings
I am not apologetic about my Rantings. These are letters and articles I've submitted to newspapers and magazines either commenting on headline events and key issues or sometimes counter-punching writers I disagree with. Some were published, others rejected. But to be fair, many of the published ones were also rejected, if you judge by the pile of generally unsigned hate mail I've accumulated since I started writing them. In posting them on the Internet, I'm hoping to engage the haters so thoroughly that they'll forget to vote.
